About The Team You Are Joining

IATA Corporate services (CS) encompass Corporate Finance, Treasury and Tax, FP&A, Global Finance Operations, Corporate Risk and Compliance, Corporate Administration and Procurement activities.

Join our Corporate Services division to help build the next generation Finance organization for IATA. The ambition that we have set ourselves as a division is to “Be the trusted proactive partner, providing data-driven and AI- enabled corporate services for the business, while upholding the highest fiduciary standards.”

A new FP&A practice has been established with the ambition to deliver next generation business planning, data and analytics and controlling services. This initiative is grounded in a spirit of strong partnership across all IATA divisions. It is within this context that the current position is being created. Additionally, a second role - Manager, Business Data & Analytics - will report directly to this position.

A few years ago, IATA defined a Data Vision & Strategy, supported by an Information & Data (I&D) operating model. The organization is now entering the next phase by launching a Business Data & Analytics practice within the Corporate Services FP&A department. This role will be instrumental in building a business-oriented, agile, and outcome-driven Data & Analytics function that enables proactive decision making.

This role reports directly to the Director FP&A.

What Your Day Would Be Like

The Senior Manager, Business Data & Analytics will play a pivotal role in aligning business data and analytics (D&A) initiatives with Corporate Services’ strategic objectives, supporting the successful delivery of IATA’s strategy and Board-monitored targets.

In this role, you will lead the development and growth of a new business D&A practice, driving the following key activities:

• Advance IATA’s maturity in business data analytics, with a focus on financial data and strategic insights
• Establish and scale a business D&A function that enables continuous, data-driven decision making across all divisions, working closely with the Information & Data (I&D) department and the Head of Data Governance. The Data governance team will provide technical support to this role, including available IATA Data technologies (e.g. data lake, warehouse) and technical expertise.
• Leverage AI and machine learning to deliver the predictive and prescriptive analytics that generate meaningful business insights
• Support the FP&A team in building a smart, driver-based and scenario-driven forecasting and planning process to help the management committee anticipate opportunities, mitigate risks, and make faster, more informed decisions
• Collaborate with FP&A and PMO teams to deliver analytics on key business projects
• Contribute to the ERP transformation (called BORA), ensuring business data requirements are accurately reflected in the technical architecture and data models
• Ensure the D&A practice delivers value across the organization, bringing efficiency, speed, precision, and agility to financial and operational decision making

• Proven success in working across departments and influencing diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership Experience applying machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI tools to generate actionable insights
• Understanding of data models, governance frameworks, and integration with enterprise systems like ERP Skilled in translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences
• Experience in multinational environments with sensitivity to cultural diversity and data compliance (e.g., GDPR)
• Led team development initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and enhancing digital capabilities through targeted upskilling and continuous learning
