Laboratory Engineer

Hobson Prior is seeking a Laboratory Engineer to join a project-focused team in Södertälje. This role is administrative in nature and involves working with computerized systems to support quality control (QC) operations. You will collaborate with a small team to implement laboratory methods into a digital system by the end of 2025. This position does not involve hands-on lab work but requires a background in laboratory environments.

Responsibilities:

• Connect laboratory instruments to a digital system.
• Test and integrate new methods into the system.
• Train users on system functionalities and provide ongoing support.
• Manage and update chemical and preparation data within the system.
• Troubleshoot system issues and assist users as needed.
• Build and maintain analytical methods and data processes in the system.
• Translate lab analyses into step-by-step digital workflows.
• Create and review test scripts for data validation.
• Collaborate with global teams and external contractors to ensure project progress.
• Support harmonization of processes across global sites.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in English.
• Experience in quality control operations and computerized systems.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Execution Systems (LES) is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in structured project environments with clear delivery goals.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and creativity in finding solutions.
• Background in laboratory work is preferred, though this role is administrative.

Additional Information:

• Start Date: 11 August 2025
• End Date: 19 December 2025
• Full-time, on-site role in Gärtuna
• Selected candidates will undergo background checks and alcohol/drug testing.
