PROJECT MANAGER

6 - 9mth contract (goal of conversion in 2026)

100% remote, but willingness to travel to facilities

Looking for a Project Manager with a background in Solar, specifically at a smaller scale (eg. commercial rooftop). This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing solar installation projects from initiation to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, internal teams, and external contractors to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• **Facility Solar / BESS / Microgrid projects**: This includes everything from contract negotiation and execution to utility interconnect and permitting, as well as coordinating with roofing contractors and managing timelines.
• **Project management of facilities energy upgrades**: This will cover initiatives like LED lighting transitions, alternative fuel transitions, and other energy efficiency projects.
• **Facilities Strategic planning support**: The role will involve long-term mapping of key needs for the business against our current and future facilities and depots.
• **Project Management of facilities upgrades**: This includes overseeing expansions, new building constructions, fuel systems, roofing upgrades, and other significant facility enhancements.
• **Evaluation of new facilities through a sustainability lens**: Whether it's leasing new properties or renewing existing leases, sustainability will be a crucial factor in our evaluation process.
• **Support for specification, planning, and renovation of new facilities**: This will align with our 5-year strategic planning goals.

Background experience / Education:

• Experience with solar / utility interconnects.
• Experience managing commercial building installs (not parks but rooftop)
• General PM skills – timeline creation, vendor management, stakeholder management.
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) highly desirable
• Strong communication skills
