Basic Functional Responsibility

A Candidate with a mixed role of Business Analyst, Tableau Developer, and Data Analyst will be expected to bridge the gap between business needs and data-driven insights, while also delivering impactful visualizations and supporting data infrastructure.

The Candidate will work closely with SME’s, operations, and management on analytics.

The candidate would be a business-aware self-starter responsible for enabling data-driven decisions by setting up a reporting framework for daily and weekly metrics, assisting with ad-hoc analysis, and conducting any fundamental research exercises.

This job is well-suited to people who have problem-solving skills, work well as part of a team, and can manage their time effectively to meet deadlines and keep to projected schedules.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

Business Analysis

1. Requirement Gathering: Work with Stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into data requirements
2. Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between business users and the Analytics team, also drive End-to-End Analytical Solutions
3. Business Case Development: Support the development of business cases with data insights and projections

Data Analysis:

1. Explorative Data Analysis
2. SQL Querying: Write complex SQL Queries to extract and manipulate data from databases (SQL Server, Hive, Data Bricks, AWS, and so on)
3. Data Validation: Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency through checks and cleaning
4. Statistical Analysis: Use Statistical techniques to draw insights and support decision-making

Visualization:

1. Tableau Dashboard Creation: Design and Build Interactive tableau dashboards and reports
2. Data Visualization: Translate data insights into clear, compelling visual stories tailored to business users
3. Performance Optimization: Optimize Tableau workbooks and queries for speed and usability
4. Publishing and Maintenance: Publish dashboards to Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud and maintain them over time

Technical Skills and Tools:

1. SQL: Minimum 2 years of MSSQL & MYSQL coding experience
2. Tableau: Advanced knowledge – Minimum 2 years of dashboard development experience
3. Excel: For Quick Analysis and Presentation
4. ETL Tools Basic knowledge on data pipelines ( CI/CD, SSIS, Jenkins, Databricks Workflows)
5. Data Warehousing: Understanding of schema design, joins, normalization (SQL, Hive, Data Bricks)
6. Python /PySpark: For Statistical Analysis and Automation

Soft Skills & Business Acumen:

Analytical Thinking: Ability to Break down complex problems and explore data to find root causes

Communication: Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Attention to detail: High data accuracy and consistency in dashboards and reports

Project Management: Manage time and priorities across multiple projects or stakeholders

Domain Knowledge: Understand the business Domain to contextualize data insights
