Senior ELT Developer

We are looking to hire a Senior ELT Developer who will be responsible for designing and implementing data integration solutions, reporting systems, and data transformation pipelines for our client based in Dubai—one of the largest companies in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 5 months and is renewable based on performance.

The role sits within the Business Technology and reports directly to the Senior Manager – Product Integration.

We are looking for a passionate Senior ELT Developer who will lead initiatives to centralize data, streamline reporting, and enhance decision-making through KPIs and analytics. You should also have experience in building ELT pipelines, working with data warehousing tools, and developing dashboards in Tableau.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy efficient data ingestion pipelines using StreamSets Data Collector and Kafka.
• Perform data transformation and processing using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Orchestrate workflows with tools like Apache Airflow and DBT.
• Transform raw data into star schema models and build aggregate tables for efficient querying.
• Create and maintain semantic layers and data marts.
• Design and build interactive Tableau dashboards to visualize KPIs and operational performance.
• Automate Tableau data extracts and manage workbook development using advanced features like containers and parameters.
• Maintain and monitor data integration platforms including patch management, system logs, and security updates.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate project progress and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software/data industry.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, reporting, or analytics.
• Preferred domain experience in the aviation or airline industry.
• Proficiency with tools like StreamSets, Kafka, DBT, Airflow, PostgreSQL, and Tableau.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT architecture.
• Ability to develop complex dashboards and reports using Tableau.
• Familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, and building data models (e.g., star schema).
• Data integration or data modeling certifications.
