Embedded Software Engineer - Security / C++ / System-Level Programming

We are currently partnered with an industry leading semiconductor company in Ireland looking to expand their headcount at their central European R&D Centre with an Embedded Software Engineer. You'll play a key role in designing and developing secure software solutions at the edge—ensuring next-gen products are both scalable and secure.

This is a permanent working opportunity based in Cork, Ireland.

Key responsibilities for this Embedded Software Engineer position:

• Design and develop scalable embedded software security features
• Define and enforce secure hardware/software contracts
• Ensure compliance with relevant security and development standards
• Shape the long-term roadmap for embedded software security
• Collaborate with architecture, systems, and hardware teams to meet security goals

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 1–5 years of professional experience in embedded software or security engineering
• Proficient in C/C++ programming (Rust is a plus)
• Deep understanding of ARM security architecture and embedded systems
• Strong knowledge of OS fundamentals, memory management, and system-level programming
