Senior PHP Developer (Laravel / Symfony)

Location: Hybrid/Remote working options (Netherlands)

Salary: €4,000 – €5,500 per month (40h/week)

A well-established Dutch software company is seeking a Senior PHP Developer to take technical ownership of complex web applications. You’ll work with a skilled, close-knit team to deliver scalable platforms for clients across sectors such as healthtech, logistics, and public services. In this role, you’ll lead development in Laravel and/or Symfony, shape technical architecture, write clean, testable code, and help improve internal standards and workflows. You’ll also collaborate with product owners and mentor other developers.

What We’re Looking For:

- Strong experience in PHP (Laravel or Symfony)

- Solid understanding of object-oriented design (SOLID, DDD, design patterns)

- Confident with MySQL, REST APIs, and front-end basics (HTML5, AJAX)

- Experience working in Agile teams

- Strong communication and code review skills

Nice to Have:

- 5+ years’ experience

- Familiarity with Domain Driven Design and automated testing
