Senior Kotlin Backend Developer

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Kotlin Backend Developer to join our Consulting team and contribute to diverse implementation projects across various industries. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern architectures and advanced technologies alongside global leaders. As part of an agile and international team, you’ll help develop scalable backend applications and participate in innovative projects using cloud platforms and cutting-edge data technologies.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend components and microservices using Kotlin.
• Collaborate with agile team members to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with client goals.
• Contribute to architecture design, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement processes.
• Participate in design discussions, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies.
• Work in international project environments with global stakeholders.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar backend development role.
• Proven experience with Kotlin and microservices architecture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Deep understanding of Kotlin, particularly for backend development (3+ years).
• Hands-on experience with microservices design and implementation.
• Familiarity with Quarkus and OpenAPI is a strong plus.
• Good knowledge of SQL and practical experience with at least one database engine.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated deployment.
• Additional experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Maven is beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Exposure to international projects and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Relevant certifications in Kotlin, Java, Spring, SQL, or cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) are a plus.
