Cyber Security Analyst (Libadiye Office)

About the job:

Cyber Security Analyst continuously monitors security alerts generated by various security tools, such as intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and antivirus programs. In order to detect any suspicious alert as soon as possible, they work as 24/7 in a shift. They analyze these alerts to determine the nature and extent of the threat.

This role involves examining log files, network traffic, and other data sources to understand the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) employed by attackers.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyzing alerts and reports that created by security tools such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, etc.
• Prioritizing of such alarms and checking the accuracy of those alarms
• Initiating first level security, network, and application troubleshooting procedures while escalating issues as needed.
• Continuously investigating threats and recommending preventive actions
• Examining end users' violation notifications and taking necessary actions
• Conducting POC studies with products that enable the detection and elimination of real threats
• Being able to create new corelation rules in SIEM and being able to tune existing corelation rules.
• Being able to create new playbooks and improve existing ones.
• Being up to date on cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.

Skills & Behaviours Required To Succeed

• Graduation from Computer, Electrical and Electronic, Electronic, Communication Engineering, or similar 4-year engineering departments,
• Fluent in English
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as analyst in Security Operation Centers
• Experience in usage of network analysis tools like Wireshark, TCPDUMP and being able to anlayze outputs of network packages.
• Experience in SIEM Search Functions (AQL, SPL)
• Knowledge of the network protocols (TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, FTP, etc.)
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, Incident Response Processes
• Experience in LOG examination and analysis
• Knowledge of the essential LOG types
• High level of interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work within a team and be self-motivated
• Holding at least one of the Cysa+, Comptia Security+, CEH, ECSA, ECIH certificates
• Knowledge of Powershell or other scripting languages
• Previous experience installing and administering operating systems
• Knowledge of malware analysis processes
