About Our Client

Our client is a diversified Holding Company based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

This role will be based in Khobar.

Job Description

The Data Protection Officer will be responsible for:

• Leading the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of data protection policies, in line with Saudi PDPL, NDMO guidelines, and international data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO/IEC 27701)
• Acting as the primary point of contact for all data privacy inquiries internally and externally (including regulators, vendors, and internal stakeholders)
• Overseeing and conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (PIAs), data mapping, and gap analyses across business units
• Creating and delivering training and awareness programs for employees across the group to promote data privacy culture
• Managing data breach response protocols, investigations, and reporting requirements
• Monitoring regulatory updates and advising leadership on compliance risks and recommendations
  
  
  

The Successful Applicant

The Data Protection Officer will be/have: Continue

• A Bachelor's in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data protection, compliance, or cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a DPO or privacy leadership role
• Strong knowledge of PDPL (Saudi Arabia), NDMO regulations, and global standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and ISO 27701
• Certifications such as CIPM, CIPT, CIPP/E, ISO 27001 LA, or IAPP membership (highly desirable)
• Demonstrated experience working with risk assessments, data protection impact assessments, and privacy frameworks
• Based in or willing to relocate to Khobar, Saudi Arabia
  
  
  

What's On Offer

The salary for the Data Protection Officer role will be between SAR 20,000-30,000, depending on level of experience.
