The SOC/NOC Analyst will be responsible for identifying, investigating, prioritizing, escalating, and resolving issues, but the types of issues and impact they have been considerably different. They meet service level agreements (SLAs) and manage incidents in a way that reduces downtime. The SOC/NOC Analyst focuses on availability, reliability, and performance. Focuses on incidents and alerts that affect the security of information assets. Their main role is to protect intellectual property and sensitive customer data a focus on security.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring security access.
- Conducting security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
- Performing both internal and external security audits.
- Analysing security breaches to identify the root cause.
- Continuously updating the company’s incident response and disaster recovery plans.
- Verifying the security of third-party vendors and collaborating with them to meet security requirements.
- Resolve outage issues by isolating programs and collaborating with engineers to find fixes.
- Answer incoming calls for tech support from customers and other staff members within the company.
- Write scripts and design automated network functions to increase efficiency.
- Replace malfunctioning or underperforming hardware connected to the network.
- Write regular analytics and network infrastructure reports.
- Monitor network security, isolate potential security vulnerabilities, and remedy security issues that could compromise the network.
- Troubleshoot IP networks and network hardware. This includes troubleshooting individual computers and laptops connected to the network.
- Communicate via phone, email, chat with customer support teams and contacts.
SECTION III: KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in related field.
- Knowledge of IT and how networks function to monitor security, troubleshoot problems, and provide system support.
- Computer skills which they use to work with network systems of all types, create advanced Excel spreadsheets, and maintain network security.
- Programming skills to write macros and scripts in multiple computer programming languages.
- Troubleshoot problems and find fixes for network issues, excellent problem-solving skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate with all managers, supervisors, and fellow associates.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with potential customers and members alike.
- Detail oriented with a great sense of pride for self and company integrity.
- Excellent written and spoken skills in English & Arabic.
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and flexible with the capacity to accept change.
- Attentive, diplomatic and team player.
- Previous experience in a customer support role.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
- English – Mandatory
- Arabic – Nice to have
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role.
