Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco Catalyst Switches and Cisco ACI to design, implement, and support the bank's data center network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of routing protocols, data center technologies, and network automation in highly regulated environments such as banking.

Mandatory Skills

• Cisco Catalyst Switches
• Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure)

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in EVPN environments
• Familiarity with Arista network equipment
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell)

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Cisco ACI and EVPN-based data center networks
• Provide L3 network support, ensuring 24x7 escalation readiness for critical incidents
• Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements related to network infrastructure

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain updated network topology diagrams, documentation, and runbooks
• Collaborate with vendors such as Cisco TAC and Service Providers for issue resolution
• Participate in risk assessments and generate audit reports for network compliance
• Organize and facilitate project meetings with internal teams and external vendors
• Ensure timely project delivery by coordinating across multiple stakeholders
• Automate network tasks where possible to improve efficiency and reduce risk

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in complex banking or financial IT environments
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with network implementation, especially Cisco ACI in Multi-Site and Multi-Pod setups
• Strong command over Cisco and Arista Data Center Interconnect technologies:
• FabricPath, OTV, VXLAN, VPC+, MLAG
• Deep understanding of Layer 3 routing protocols:
• PBR, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, EVPN
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Proficiency in Python and Linux Shell Scripting is a strong plus
• Certifications such as CCIE (Routing & Switching or Data Center) or equivalent are highly desirable
