Senior Governance Specialist

We are looking for a governance specialist to be responsible for overseeing governance frameworks, policies, and compliance structure, as well as stakeholder engagement

Alongside overseeing governance frameworks, policies, and compliance structure, as well as stakeholder engagement

Role Overview

•Ensure adherence to governance structures and mechanisms, supporting optimal decision-making processes for NCSS execution

•Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and streamlining governance processes

•Standardize governance frameworks and document best practices, ensuring clarity and effective communication across all stakeholders

•Oversee overall activity execution by owners, facilitation of working groups, and deployment of the advisory committee on demand

•Coordinate assurance efforts related to the NCSS implementation

•Focuses on ensuring adherence to governance mechanisms and coordinating cross-stakeholder governance efforts

•Key objectives:

–Enhancing transparency and ensuring accountability and effective decision-making in NCSS execution

–Facilitating structured coordination between government entities, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders

–Overseeing compliance with governance policies, regulatory requirements, and strategic mandates

Work Experience

•3-6 years of experience in cybersecurity governance or regulatory compliance

•Hands-on experience in stakeholder coordination, working with government entities, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders

Hard skills

•Strong understanding of governance frameworks and regulatory compliance

•Experience in strategy development & implementation

•Knowledge of national and international cybersecurity governance best practices

Soft skills

•Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills

•Effective communication and policy advocacy skills

Education

•Degree in Law, Public Policy, Governance, Cybersecurity, or a related field

•Experience in cybersecurity governance or government institutions is preferred
