Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Android HMI Engineer to join our team working on next generation in vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems. As part of the AOSP based automotive HMI team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating HMI layers for rich interactive and responsive in car use experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Desing and implement HMI layers and features on Android Automotive/AOSP.
• Develop and customize Android applications, services and components.
• Work with the design team to provide suggestions or changes.
• Interface with middle ware and HAL components for vehicle data.
• Optimize performance, memory usage and boot time for HMI applications.
• Debug and resolve issues related to the implemented and yet to implement HMI apps.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including platform, QA, design and customer. Required skills:
• Strong development experience in Android Framework, AOSP and Android SDK.
• Proficient in Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with HMI architecture in automotive IVI projects.
• Knowledge on Android application lifecycle, services, broadcast and content providers.
• Experience with Git and Android Soong & Gradle build system.
• Understanding of Vehicle HAL (VHAL) in Android Automotive.
• Knowledge on CAN/LIN
• Familiarity with performance profile tools, logcat, ADB and system debugging tools. Soft skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration stills, with the cross functional teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced evolving environment.
