Your Role

Capgemini is seeking an Android Developer to join Capgemini Financial Services Digital Practice. This is a permanent, full-time position in Sheffield, UK and this represents a unique opportunity for someone to enhance their Digital Consulting career

• Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and fix bugs, ensuring optimal performance of the application.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Participate in troubleshooting and incident response to improve application robustness.

Your Profile

• Experience in working in an agile and DevOps environment.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java with understanding of Android framework and libraries.
• Experience in Android development tolls such as Android Studio, Gradle and Git.
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, design pattern and best practices.
• Familiar with RESTful APIs, JSON, network framework and third party library integration
• Experience in handling performance optimisation, memory management and app security.
• Good to have knowledge about testing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of mobile app development life cycle.
• Hand on experience on Version Control Systems & collaborative development tool.
