We are primarily seeking for multiple "Senior Software Engineer " to work with our Federal client .

Visa: Australian citizens only( must be able to obtain security clearances)

Location: Anywhere in australia

Engagement type: Contract- Long term

Key Duties

• Developing new systems, applications, and integrations, following industry best practices and established architectural standards.
• Design and implementation of software and CI/CD pipelines to address complex challenges including writing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and building containerised applications for Kubernetes.
• Take a central role in our project team, utilizing an agile development methodology.
• Documenting all design and development activities.
• Actively engage in code reviews – both as the reviewer and the reviewee to ensure coding quality and standards are upheld.
• Ensuring that any software developed meets the organization's security requirements and standards.
• Ensuring that any software developed meets accessibility requirements.
• Working with Business Analysts, Project Leads, and other IT teams to resolve issues to ensure solutions are effective and fit for purpose.
• Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure comprehensive test coverage early in the development cycle utilizing a shift-left approach
• Ensuring that solutions are practical, cost-effective, and deliver on their intended purpose.

Essential criteria

1. Proficiency in constructing sophisticated APIs across multiple programming languages, including Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript. Implementing architectural approaches such as REST and GraphQL.
2. Comprehensive understanding of Cloud infrastructure within AWS, including authoring Infrastructure as Code, optimally with Terraform
3. Creating containerized applications for orchestration in Kubernetes leveraging Docker and Helm
4. Background in building accessible web applications utilizing React and TypeScript
5. Mastery of DevOps methodologies, including establishing CI/CD pipelines through GitHub/GitLab and tools like Artifactory and HashiCorp Vault
6. Understanding of web accessibility guidelines, including WCAG 2.1

Desirable criteria

1. Mobile development expertise, leveraging React Native or equivalent frameworks.
2. Database provisioning and oversight (Postgres and MySQL)
3. Competency to operate throughout the complete SDLC, encompassing architecting technical solutions, coding and releasing software, executing code reviews, and sustained code stewardship.
4. Capability to develop automated test suites encompassing unit, component, integration and functional testing. Must demonstrate ability to partner closely with QA teams to support integration and end-to-end validation of sophisticated systems.
