Shift Markets began in the traditional finance world, as a leader in the FX space. Sensing the seismic shifts taking place in the financial industry, and the disruptive power of cryptocurrencies and blockchain, we made it our mission to make these decentralized trends accessible to every business, from market leaders to small retailers.

We are growing quickly, and an opportunity has developed on our Data & Insights team for a Data Analyst. As our Data Analyst, you will support our finance and trading operations by analyzing data, generating actionable insights, and contributing to performance reporting and incident impact assessments. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong communicator with excellent SQL and Python skills, ideally with some fintech or crypto exposure.

Responsibilities

Analyze financial and trading data to identify trends and patterns
Support reconciliation, deposits, withdrawals, and financial operations reporting
Generate reports on product profitability, customer behavior, and operational performance
Prepare and present insights on incident impact and performance metrics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and track KPIs
Learn and work within proprietary internal tools and systems
Contribute to new analytics initiatives

Requirements

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
Proficiency in SQL (must)
Experience with Python, especially Pandas and NumPy (must)
Ability to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders
Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently and take initiative

Qualifications

1 - 2 years of experience in a data analysis or analytics-focused role
Bachelorʼs degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
Experience in fintech, FX, or crypto strongly preferred
Fluent English (C2); Russian, Ukrainian, or Polish is a plus

This position requires working 40 hours per week. Compensation is based on experience and location.
