Data Visualization Specialist

We are looking for a Data Visualization Specialist to join our Product team. This role is perfect for a creative professional who combines strong technical skills with exceptional design sensibility to transform complex educational data into compelling, actionable insights. You'll work closely with our Engineering team while being part of the Product organization, helping to create data experiences that serve both internal stakeholders and our customers.

Responsibilities

● Design and develop internal dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight to support business operations and strategic decision-making.

● Create executive-level reporting that provides clear insights into product performance, user engagement, and business metrics.

● Build self-service analytics capabilities that empower internal teams to access and interpret data independently.

● Develop customer-facing dashboard solutions using AWS QuickSight that provide value to our educational institution clients.

● Design intuitive, branded visualization experiences that help customers understand their data and outcomes.

● Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales teams to understand customer reporting needs and translate them into effective dashboard solutions.

● Design and specify data visualizations for integration within our core product using modern development frameworks and libraries.

● Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to understand their data visualization requirements.

● Translate business questions into compelling visual analytics solutions

● Provide guidance on data visualization best practices and design standards across the organization.

● Leverage AI tools to streamline development processes, generate creative solutions, and enhance productivity across all project phases.

Requirements:

● 3-5 years of experience in data visualization, business intelligence, or related field.

● Experience in educational technology, SaaS, or mission-driven organizations preferred.

● AWS Certified Data Analytics or similar cloud data certifications.

● Tableau Desktop Specialist, Power BI certifications, or equivalent.

● Basic SQL certifications or demonstrable SQL skills.

● Experience with customer-facing dashboard design and implementation.

● Background in user experience (UX) design for data products.

● Experience working with development teams to implement visualizations in web applications.

● Experience with data governance and quality assurance processes.

● Knowledge of accessibility standards for data visualizations.

● Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) for productivity enhancement and solution development.

● Fluent English (written & spoken)
