Backend Development Team Lead

pawaTech is looking for a Backend Development Team Lead. What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and support a team of backend engineers, providing technical direction and day-to-day guidance;
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code for high-load backend systems;
• Own services throughout the full development lifecycle, from design to deployment and monitoring;
• Support your team in breaking down tasks, reviewing code, and ensuring delivery;
• Work closely with other teams to solve integration and data flow challenges;
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and how the team works.

What makes you a great candidate:

• Solid knowledge of Java and the Spring framework;
• Proficiency in backend development, microservices, and distributed systems;
• Experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, TiDB) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB);
• Strong grasp of design patterns, algorithms, and data structures;
• Familiarity with gRPC, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines;
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes;
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers in a collaborative team setup;
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
