Android Developer (STB)

Job Description:

We are looking for Android STB Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the initial investigation and triage of reported issues, as well as the execution of test plans to validate software functionality and identify defects Android STB. You will work closely with development and QA teams to streamline the issue resolution process and contribute to the overall quality assurance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and triage reported issues.
• Execute test plans to validate software functionality and identify defects.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Analyze logs, network data, and system dumps to diagnose problems.
• Participate in release validation and monitoring.
• Apply scripting for automation to improve triage and testing processes.
• Document triage workflows, known issues, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.

Required Skills:

• Proficient troubleshooting and debugging Android system-level issues.
• Good Knowledge with bug tracking tools e.g. Jira.
• Strong experience in STB domain technologies (MPEG TS/Codecs/Tuner/RCU/OTT etc)
• Strong understanding of Android TV components and building blocks
• Experience in triaging / testing of Android Launcher and Live TV applications
• Experience in analysing Logcat / bug report
• Understanding of Android TV / Google certification ecosystem
• Hands on experience in android tools eg adb / profiler / systrace
• Experience in triaging/analyzing product issues and delegating to 3rd party solutions (SoC/App/OEM etc)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in scripting languages / automation
