We are now looking for an Android Automotive Developer in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Android-based applications and services for automotive systems using C++
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize Android applications for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems and other automotive platforms
• Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable C++ code for Android automotive applications, ensuring compatibility with Android Automotive OS
• Integrate Android applications with vehicle systems, sensors, and communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, and Bluetooth
• Perform debugging, testing, and optimization to ensure the performance, stability, and reliability of Android automotive applications
• Participate in code reviews, providing feedback to ensure best practices and adherence to coding standards
• Work with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly and intuitive interfaces for automotive applications
• Stay current with the latest developments in Android development, C++ programming, and automotive technology
• Document software design, code, and procedures to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and automotive-specific guidelines
Qualifications
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Android Developer with a strong focus on C++ programming, preferably in the automotive industry
• Deep understanding of Android development, including the Android SDK, NDK, and Android Automotive OS
• Strong proficiency in C++ programming, with experience in developing performance-critical applications
• Familiarity with Android development tools (e.g., Android Studio, Gradle) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN) and integrating Android applications with vehicle systems is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automotive software development
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
• Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or Kotlin for Android development is a plus
