About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Android Developer to join our team on a contract basis outside IR35. This role is pivotal in leading the redevelopment of a customer-facing mobile application, requiring a senior-level professional with extensive experience in Android development. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements, design innovative solutions, and develop high-quality, scalable applications. This position offers the opportunity to influence the technical direction of the project, mentor junior team members, and contribute to best practices within the development team. The role is based in Leicester, with a compulsory on-site presence of three days per week (Monday to Wednesday), and is available for an immediate start. The contract duration is initially three months, with potential extension based on project needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Android development, with proven expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. A deep understanding of Android architecture patterns, UI/UX principles, and best practices is essential. Candidates should have prior experience working on greenfield projects or rebuilding applications from scratch, demonstrating the ability to deliver robust and efficient solutions. Proficiency in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and integrating RESTful APIs is required.
