Principal Product Manager – IDAM
Salary: Up to £64,000 + 14% Pension + 40 days holiday
Location: Bristol – Minimum 1 day p/w on site
Duration: 12-month FTC with potential to go permanent
We’ve partnered with one of Bristol’s most prestigious institutions to hire a Principle Product Manager to work with senior stakeholders across the business, shifting the organisation to a Product way of working and to immediately deliver on the technology roadmap, mainly focussed on Identity Access tooling. Reporting into Director Level.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with the business’s goals.
- Create, implement and oversee Product Strategies and build the vision of how the IDAM product can achieve this.
- Deeply understand customer needs and pain points through research, interviews, and data analysis. Ensure customer insights drive product decisions.
- Represents the Voice of Customer in helping to define customer focused solutions.
- Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps, prioritising features and initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Ensure that the services provided by IDAM have clearly prioritised outcomes aligned to our goals and are aligned to wider product roadmaps.
- Work closely with a wide range of senior stakeholders across all areas of the business to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch optimisation.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer and business needs.
- Conduct thorough market analysis and competitive research to inform product strategy and positioning. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
- Represent the business at Industry events, providing thought leadership and gaining industry insights to drive improvements.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Gather and incorporate feedback to refine product direction, working with time poor customers to deliver benefits supporting their needs.
- Define OKRs (Outcomes and Key Results), key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success. Analyse product performance data to drive continuous improvement. Implement a data driven approach to problem solving
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior product managers and other team members. Provide dotted line management and support to Product Specialist and IDAM Engineering resources, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a Product role working within agile environments is essential.
- Excellent stakeholder management, able to clearly and simply articulate complex concepts at Executive Level and manage conflicting stakeholder requirements.
- The ability to build strong relationships at an Executive and Senior Management level to articulate the opportunities for Identity Access Management.
- Experience within cyber security is highly desirable.
- Strong roadmap creation and delivery experience.
- A strong understanding of how Identity Access Management can contribute to the organisation’s goals.
