Software Development Engineer – Java Full Stack

Finders has been mandated by a leading private bank to recruit a skilled Software Development Engineer to join its growing IT team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to both the enhancement of existing applications and the development of an exciting new client-facing platform, built on cutting-edge technologies as part of a major digital initiative.

Your Role

Located in Basel , on site -5 days a week

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll work in a modern Java Enterprise environment, helping evolve a robust and scalable application landscape. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver reliable software solutions and contribute directly to a strategic digital transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and client requirements and design tailored software solutions
• Develop, test, and document high-quality code using internal frameworks
• Actively contribute to evolving the development frameworks and tools
• Support project management activities related to your solutions
• Provide maintenance and third-level support for core platforms

Your Profile

• Higher education in Information Technology (University or FH)
• 5+ years of full-stack development experience in a Java Enterprise environment
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with:
• Web technologies: HTML, JavaScript, React
• Databases: SQL, PL/SQL
• Linux environments
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (e.g. CI/CD, Azure DevOps)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Fluent in English; a good command of German is a strong advantage
