WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own the design and implementation of backend services that manage liquidity, compliance, and transactional flows;
• Ship clean, well-tested TypeScript code and evolve our architecture as we scale;
• Work closely with the founders on everything from API ergonomics to bank core integrations;
• Build with an eye toward correctness, observability, and auditability in order to scale the system to billions in volume;
• Shape engineering culture and help make early hiring decisions.

MUST HAVES

• 5+ years of backend experience, ideally building high-uptime systems in fintech, crypto, or banking;
• Prior experience working on either fintech/banking compliance systems and/or managing crypto or fiat liquidity;
• Track record of building and scaling infrastructure from the ground up;
• Strong command of TypeScript;
• Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by early-stage execution;
• Experience in a remote-first company including strong communication skills and an understanding of building remote-first culture;
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with NestJS;
• Familiarity with fp-ts, or other functional programming approaches;
• Experience with GCP and/or building in regulated environments (compliance, KYC/AML, etc.);
• Experience working with banking cores (e.g. FIS, FiServe, Jack Henry).
