Freelance Security Architect

ATOS is engaged in a strategic, multi-year cloud migration program with a key client in the Public sector. This initiative involves transitioning critical operational systems to a secure cloud environment.

To support this transformation, we are seeking an experienced Security Architect to join the program team. The role involves advising and supporting the security function throughout the migration lifecycle. You’ll work closely with customer security officers, architects, developers, and operations teams to ensure that security standards are maintained or enhanced during and after the migration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security requirements analysis and risk assessments.
• Recommend and validate appropriate security controls during system migration.
• Review architecture designs to ensure compliance with security best practices.
• Assess and adapt existing security processes for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including solution and infrastructure architects, DevOps, and operations.
• Maintain a customer-facing presence, offering clear and informed guidance throughout the program.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience across multiple security domains including:

Security architecture and design

Identity and access management (IAM)

Vulnerability and risk management

Security operations, monitoring, and automation

• A degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are mandatory. Additional certifications like CISA or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
• Proven experience in large-scale transition/transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and hybrid infrastructures, especially:
• Microsoft Azure and associated security tools
• Other public cloud environments are a bonus

Technical proficiency with:

• Enterprise technologies including VMware, Linux, and Windows OS
• Secure network design, SASE solutions, and remote access technologies
• Experience operating within mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with international standards and frameworks, especially:
• ISO/IEC 27000 series
