Our client in the banking sector is undertaking a strategic reflection on transforming its payment processing systems for the Benelux region, covering technological, business, and operational aspects. This strategic study will assess impacts, opportunities, and optimization levers to select the best payment processing systems, taking into account the specificities of the Benelux market and the company’s growth ambitions. Various scenarios will be explored to ensure a viable long-term business case.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic framing phase of the payment systems transformation study.
• Structure, plan, and manage projects related to integrating a new electronic payment processor and other scenarios under consideration.
• Coordinate stakeholders (business teams, IT, external partners) to ensure smooth communication flows.
• Monitor work progress, identify risks, manage dependencies, and propose action plans.
• Prepare and facilitate steering committees, produce decision-making materials, and provide regular reporting.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables produced within the scope of the study.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Technical experience: mandatory
• Business experience: mandatory, strong project management skills, good knowledge of acquiring and/or payment business
• Strategic thinker with ability to see the big picture (helicopter view)
• Management skills and ability to motivate people
• Structured and goal-oriented approach
