Software Engineer

We’ve partnered with a well funded medical device company based in Glasnevin, Dublin who are looking to hire a Software Engineer.

This role is predominately a office based work joining a fantastic team where you can make a real impact to the business.

You’ll play a key role across the full software development lifecycle—designing and building embedded, mobile & cloud applications, integrating with hardware, and helping to ensure the quality and reliability of our medical-grade systems. You’ll write production code, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to automated test frameworks that support our regulated development process.

The position involves working with internal firmware/software development teams and external development partners in a cross-functional R&D team spanning Bio-Mechanical, Electronics, Firmware/Software, Data, Clinical, Commercial, Quality/Regulatory, and Manufacturing.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Bio-Medical or a related field
• Demonstratable coding skills, e.g. in Python, C, Java or similar
• Understanding of the domains of software development, including embedded, mobile, cloud, backend, frontend.
• Understanding of software development eco-systems, e.g. CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Automation frameworks
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Excellent technical documentation skills for compliance with medical device standards
