At E-Frontiers we're on the lookout for a Network Architect who will responsible for designing and improving the organisation’s network to ensure smooth and reliable operations across all retail locations. This role focuses on building a secure, scalable, and high-performing network that supports current needs and future growth.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-level plans and detailed network designs that align with business needs and goals.
- Design scalable, multi-site networks using Cisco Nexus switches, with a focus on flexibility and future growth.
- Lead the deployment and integration of Cisco network solutions, ensuring designs are delivered as planned and issues are resolved quickly.
- Manage the configuration and operation of Cisco SD-WAN controllers, ensuring smooth integration with the existing network (including Cisco DNA).
- Provide guidance on datacentre network design for hybrid environments that combine Azure cloud and on-premises systems.
- Ensure seamless connectivity between cloud and on-premises networks, aligned with enterprise standards.
- Design and manage wireless networks using Cisco controllers in N+1 configurations to improve coverage and reliability.
- Integrate strong security measures into all designs, including Cisco enterprise firewalls and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
- Develop monitoring strategies using tools like SolarWinds and Cisco ACI to track network performance.
- Continuously optimise network performance and security through proactive design improvements.
What you need to succeed:
- Over 10 years of experience in networking, including data centre environments, with a strong focus on Cisco technologies.
- Practical expertise in designing and managing multi-site networks using Cisco Nexus switches.
- Proven ability to deliver enterprise-grade network solutions, from design through to implementation.
- Cisco certified, with up-to-date and relevant accreditations.
- Skilled in producing both high-level and detailed network design documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN, DNA, and wireless technologies, including resilient and high-availability setups.
- Strong background in network security, including configuring and managing firewalls and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
