About the role:
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager (Project Coordinator) to join our dynamic Projects & Programmes Practice within Computacenter. In this role, you'll support the delivery of stand-alone projects or work streams, collaborating closely with senior Project Managers and various stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle while developing key skills in planning, coordination, risk management, and project governance. Whether aligned to a specific customer account or providing support from our Shared Services CPMO, you’ll play a critical role in enabling delivery excellence across local and international projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers in planning, tracking, and coordinating all phases of project delivery.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation, status reports, and schedules.
- Monitor risks, issues, changes, and dependencies while keeping registers up to date.
- Coordinate internal and external project resources (including service providers and partners).
- Attend and contribute to governance meetings, taking minutes and preparing reporting materials.
- Help manage project financials, forecasts, and reports using internal tools such as PEAT and PFRs.
- Engage with stakeholders across Sales, Engineering, Consultancy, and Service Management teams.
- Work with change management tools (e.g., Remedy) to help manage project modifications and risks.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to support successful delivery.
- Actively contribute to team culture and professional standards within the practice.
Requirements:
- 1-2+ years of experience in a project support, coordination, or junior PM role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Management, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate when necessary.
- Excellent use of English, written and spoken.
Nice-to-Have:
- Exposure to IT service environments or technology-led project delivery.
- Membership or interest in professional bodies (e.g., APM, PMI, BCS).
- Understanding of commercial models like Fixed Price or Time & Materials.
