Group/Project: Medicaid for Aetna. Seeking an Agile Coach/Transformation Lead to join a team of 2 other coaches supporting the organization (roughly 30 scrum Teams). The teams that this individual will be supporting are at varying levels of maturity within Agile, so flexibility in approach will be crucial to success for this team. They will be interfacing with Executive leadership and the enterprise COE teams, so strong communication skills will be a must as well.

Must Haves

  • 5+ years as a true Agile Coach (not looking for individuals with blended skill sets (i.e. - NOT A Scrum Master/Coach or RTE/Coach or PM/Coach - NONE of those)
  • Ability to Lead, lead teams of people
  • Exp. working within a Large Scaled Agile Enterprise Environment - MUST be SPC certified
  • Exp. working with Rally
  • Exp. Coaching several teams simultaneously

What is the difference between agile coach and enterprise agile coach?

They both require different skill sets, knowledge, and experience. While Agile Team Coaches focus on helping teams to improve their performance and collaboration, Enterprise Coaches focus on helping leaders to develop the vision and strategy to enhance business agility.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Agile Coach to help transition our organization from a mid-level maturity organization to a fully integrated, high performing delivery organization utilizing SAFe practices. The Agile Program Coach will help design, coach, and mentor the teams, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, change behavior and delivery processes. This candidate is an expert in agile methodologies, a proven thought leader and collaborator responsible for working with Program teams to lead and execute training and coaching efforts for Medicaid IT.

This role also includes supporting program strategy, roadmap, processes, structures, guidelines, architecture and creating communities of practice for Agile delivery. You will coach, mentor and guide our people to figure out the best solutions for their specific department challenges. You will analyze the organization's existing infrastructure and implement improvements to help streamline processes and create efficiencies. The plan will involve a series of Agile/LEAN methodology changes, corresponding Agile design and tooling, and an entire support mechanism designed to transform our delivery process.

These goals include measurement and metrics for LEAN/SAFe principles like continuous delivery, automated testing, security auditing, success criteria completeness, and traceability. The coach will lead the Agile Release Trains (ART) delivery alignment for incrementally developing, delivering and operating one or more solutions of continuous improvements within the value stream.
