Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software development building applications and services
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with others (we use Go, TypeScript, Ruby, Python)
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, API design, and performance optimization
• Experience contributing to technical projects and collaborating across teams
• Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions that deliver value
• Experience building high-availability, fault-tolerant systems with containerization and orchestration (we use K8s on EKS)
• Familiarity with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (we use Github Actions, CircleCi, and ArgoCD)
• Passion for the DispatchHealth mission to improve patients’ lives in their homes

Job responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the core platform services that power our in-home healthcare solutions. Your technical expertise will help drive improvements in patient care and expand access to quality healthcare delivered directly to people’s homes.

Our backend is written in Go, TypeScript and Ruby.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain core services that enable high-quality medical care in patients’ homes
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to understand requirements, solve product gaps, and deliver robust solutions
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions that enhance our technology platform
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Stay up to date with new and emerging technologies, and help integrate them into our evolving infrastructure
• Take ownership of projects and features from design through implementation and deployment
