We’re seeking a Java Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team focused on building secure, scalable, and high-performance API and integration solutions for a Greenfield Data project. You will build powerful integration solutions for our Data Office that connect core systems, power customer insights, and protect our data.

Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you’ll contribute to building APIs using Spring Boot, writing clean and maintainable code, and participating in code reviews to improve your technical skills. You’ll assist in implementing integration solutions with HashiCorp Vault and related tools, helping ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI, DSS, and GDPR.

You’ll be involved in routine tasks such as debugging, testing, and documenting code, while learning to conduct basic security assessments and contribute to the automation of deployment processes. Collaboration will be a key part of your role, as you work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to understand business needs, troubleshoot integration issues, and support secure data management practices.

• Prior experience in a similar role ideally in a T-1 Tech Consulting company is required.
• Hands on experience working in a Greenfield project is highly desirable
• Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale enterprise projects.
• Hands on Java development skills (Java 11+).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, MVC, and Security.
• Solid understanding of REST API design principles.
• Proven experience with unit and integration testing.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Experience with Format Preserving Encryption (FPE) and tokenization using HashiCorp Vault or any similar secret management tool.
• Familiarity with encryption technologies and key management.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with API gateways.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
• Kotlin or Python development experience.
• Understanding of data platforms like DataBricks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure.
