We’re seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our growing engineering team focused on building secure, scalable, and high-performance API and integration solutions for a Greenfield Data project. You will build powerful integration solutions for our Data Office that connect core systems, power customer insights, and protect our data.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting robust APIs using Spring Boot, following established patterns and best practices. Your work will involve writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, contributing to code reviews, and actively participating in technical discussions to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will help evolve our continuous integration and deployment pipelines, ensuring that solutions are scalable and automated across multiple environments. A critical part of your role will be conducting routine security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration testing, to maintain the integrity of our systems. You’ll implement advanced data protection controls using HashiCorp Vault and related tooling, ensuring all solutions meet internal security and compliance standards such as PCI, DSS, and GDPR.

In addition, you will collaborate with senior engineers to shape API design and deliver integration strategies that align with business needs. You’ll provide technical support, troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges, and contribute to the development of best practices around data loss prevention (DLP) and tokenization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help identify secure data management requirements and ensure our integration solutions are both effective and compliant.

• Prior experience in a similar role ideally in a T-1 Tech Consulting company is required.
• Hands on experience working in a Greenfield project is highly desirable
• Proven track record of managing end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale enterprise projects.
• Significant experience overseeing the design, implementation, and deployment of high-impact enterprise systems.
• Strong Java development skills (Java 11+).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, MVC, and Security.
• Solid understanding of REST API design principles.
• Proven experience with unit and integration testing.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Experience with Format Preserving Encryption (FPE) and tokenization using HashiCorp Vault or any similar secret management tool is essential.
• Familiarity with encryption technologies and key management.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with API gateways.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
• Kotlin or Python development experience.
• Understanding of data platforms like DataBricks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure.
