Senior Android Developer

Bleta is a rapidly growing startup dedicated to creating customized solutions for the elderly, aiming to bridge the digital divide and empower older adults with technology. Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and test Android applications in collaboration with our team.

● Implement features according to project requirements.

● Debug and solve issues in Android applications.

● Occasionally contribute to process automation tasks beyond Android programming.

● Stay updated with best practices in Android app development and actively contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

● >2 years previous experience in Android development

● Proficiency in Kotlin, including coroutines & Kotlin flows

● Familiarity with Jetpack Compose.

● Familiarity with git

● Familiarity with DI frameworks such as Dagger/Hilt

● Familiarity with Android Architecture and Clean Architecture

● Familiarity with Android Studio and Android APIs.

● Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.

● Self-motivated and proactive, capable of navigating a startup's dynamic environment without constant supervision.

● English proficiency sufficient for reading and writing technical documentation.

Desirable

● Public GitHub or similar profile showcasing programming project contributions.

● Previous experience with CI/CD practices

● Familiarity with Kanban & Agile methodologies

● Previous experience with unit and UI testing

● Previous experience releasing apps in Google Play

● Previous experience in integrating RESTful APIs in Android apps

● Experience with GNU/Linux.

● Knowledge of the Android ecosystem and tinkering experience, such as creating and installing custom ROMs.

● Interest in UX/user-centred development.

● Previous experience in startup environments.

● Interest in social issues and a bit of a geeky side.
