Ethical Hacker
Location: Berlin (hybrid)
Our client is looking for a talented Ethical Hacker to become part of their expanding cybersecurity team. This role provides the chance to contribute in a fast-paced setting dedicated to developing secure and forward-thinking digital solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform security assessments through penetration testing of applications, networks, and systems to detect vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Emulate real-world cyberattacks to evaluate system defences and work closely with IT and security teams to implement mitigation strategies.
- Compile comprehensive reports outlining technical findings and risk levels; lead training initiatives to foster security awareness across teams.
- Stay informed on emerging cyber threats and assist with incident response and forensic investigations when security breaches occur.
- Ensure ongoing alignment with internal security protocols, legal requirements, and industry-standard practices.
Your Profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a similar discipline, combined with hands-on experience in ethical hacking or penetration testing.
- Professional certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or CISSP are a strong advantage.
- Skilled in using common security testing tools, including Metasploit and Nmap.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and web technologies.
- Experience with thick client assessments and proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Bash) is beneficial.
- Eagerness to pursue additional certifications (e.g., cloud security) and the ability to communicate effectively in both German and English.
