Contract Frontend Engineer –

Location: 2x Days per week Utrecht

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract - Payroll €80-85/hour

Duration: 6+ months (extension likely)

Start Date: 1st July

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join a high-impact team responsible for one of the most critical areas of a large-scale eCommerce platform: the Product Page and related customer-facing features such as wish lists, image galleries, and review displays.

What You’ll Do

• Build and enhance frontend components for the Product Page and related features
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, analysts, and other frontend engineers
• Contribute to the ongoing migration to a modern tech stack (React, Remix, Tailwind)
• Monitor and analyse frontend performance using modern observability tools
• Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.)

Tech Stack

You’ll be working with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript stack, including:

• React, Remix, Node.js
• TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Sass, HTML5
• GraphQL for data fetching
• CI/CD tools and practices
• Monitoring: Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus
