Senior Infrastructure & Network Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure & Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cutting-edge infrastructure solutions. This role covers key enterprise technologies such as SDN, datacenter fabric, virtualization with vSAN, load balancing, and enterprise backup solutions (Veeam). The ideal candidate will be involved in strategic architecture as well as hands-on deployment and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise IT infrastructure with a focus on availability, performance, and scalability.
• Design and implement Software Defined Networking (SDN) using technologies such as VMware NSX.
• Manage Load Balancer appliances (F5) for application delivery and fault tolerance.
• Deploy and maintain vSAN clusters for hyper-converged storage infrastructure.
• Work with Datacenter Fabric technologies (Leaf-Spine, VXLAN, EVPN).
• Administer VMware virtualization platforms (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
• Implement and maintain Veeam Backup & Replication strategies (including offsite and cloud backups).
• Ensure end-to-end monitoring and automation using tools and custom scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues at systems, storage, and network level.
• Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure standards, procedures, and configurations.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to align infrastructure with policy requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure and networking roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with vSAN deployment and management.
• Solid understanding of SDN technologies and policy-based network segmentation.
• Experience deploying and operating load balancers in HA environments.
• Familiar with Fabric Networking and next-gen data center topologies.
• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, including backup strategy, recovery, and integration with storage.
• Strong knowledge of VMware stack (vSphere, vCenter, NSX).
• Proficient in L2/L3 networking: routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls.
• Scripting skills for automation and orchestration (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

Certifications (Preferred):

• VMware VCP (DCV, NV), vSAN Specialist
• Veeam VMCE – Veeam Certified Engineer
• ITIL Foundation, ISO27001 or NIST framework exposure

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
• Proactive mindset and ability to lead technical initiatives
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in complex, high-pressure environments
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus
• Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain NATO SECRET clearance or equivalent.
• Travel: Occasional travel may be required for on-premises implementation, testing, and assessments.
