Senior Android Engineer

Svea Solar is on the verge of transforming how we manage energy with just the click of a button. We're here to help our customers make the most of their energy usage while also balancing the energy grid with smart, innovative solutions. To bring this vision to life, we're expanding our app team and are on the lookout for our a Senior Android Engineer.

The Role

As our Senior Android Engineer you will be working with our new, customer facing Android App. The app helps our customers to optimize their energy consumption, as well as contribute to a more sustainable world!

You will be working closely with our Product Manager, Android Staff Engineer and the rest of the app team consisting of our designers and our engineers specialized in iOS, Android and Backend development. About The Android App

• New app built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Interfaces with a newly built backend.
• Built using the latest and greatest frameworks from Google.
• Minimum version requirement is currently Android 10.
  
  

Responsibility

• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to define application requirements and specifications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and design patterns.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest development trends, tools, and technologies, and evaluate their applicability to our projects.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
• Contribute to documentation and provide insights on application architecture and design choices.
