Position: Project Manager (5mos. Contract)
Location: Restaurant Support Centre
Reports To: Senior Manager AOP Delivery & PMO
Job Profile and Description
Provide leadership in managing the various product development and client-specific projects. Set the tone for how the projects are managed by ensuring focus on key project objectives, deliver first-class experience and ensure it aligns with business strategy. This role will require experience in stakeholder management and calling out risks/opportunities to the brand on hitting target.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with cross-functional project teams across the organization to plan, manage and track projects (mainly technology projects) ranging from development, implementation and process improvement
- Create and maintain a clear vision of the direction of all projects and keep execution focused on that direction
- Provide project oversight, including completion of reporting activities related to budget, schedule, and project management processes in accordance with PMO processes.
- Create and maintain project documentation, status reports, plans, schedules and timelines including project charter, user manuals and other documentation at the appropriate level of detail required for individual projects
- Facilitate meetings, workshops and communicate project milestone progress on a regular basis with various stakeholders, including vendors if necessary
- Continuously train and develop the project team to grow into a mature agile/scrum team
- Manage multiple, various sized projects simultaneously
- Ensure consistency in project scope, role definition, and performance expectations within individual capabilities and among project teams.
- Coordinate resources by managing project performance and ensuring timely execution of deliverables
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes
- Ensure that issues and risks are properly identified, considered, escalated, and resolved.
Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in project management in both technology and non-technology focused role
• Proven success in leading a project team to deliver value for the organization while demonstrating strong business acumen
- Able to analyze and distill complex information for other team members
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well on projects with business and technical teams
• Demonstrated strong communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A team player who understands how to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving organization
• Experience with developing project schedules within project management software (i.e Asana or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams and influence across organizational boundaries
• Demonstrated knowledge of modern software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum and Iterative
