12 Month Rolling Contract

Glasgow - 3 Days on Site.

We are partnered with a global Tier one bank for a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Glasgow on a 12 month rolling contract.

The ideal candidate will need to be proficient in Java and Python as well as Microservice based architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing and deploying improvements in a controlled, fixed environment.
• Involved with the implementation of feature toggling using tools like Split.io
• Contributing to the development if a new nightly build process
• Help improve efficiency within a number current process including migrating to Kafka and Artifactory
• Help contribute to the movement from Green Plum to Snowflake.

Experience:

• Proficient in Java, Python and Shell scripting. Perl is useful, but not essential
• Strong experience with Git and Jenkins Pipelines
• CI/CD Tooling - Familiarity with customer CI/CD solution
• Experience with MQ in the technology stack
• Experience with Kafka is ideal, but not essential
• Experience with DB2 databases and Mongo (used for caching). Knowledge of data migration from Greenplum to Snowflake.
