Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Security Analyst to support our Vulnerability Management team. This role will involve onboarding assets, performing vulnerability scans using Rapid7, generating reports, coordinating patching efforts, and working with teams to remediate security issues. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in cybersecurity with exposure to compliance frameworks like IRAP and security standards such as the Essential Eight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboard IT assets into the vulnerability scanning platform (Rapid7)
- Conduct scheduled scans and analyze vulnerability reports
- Track and coordinate remediation activities with technical teams
- Host regular calls to discuss patching progress and risks
- Maintain documentation and reporting for compliance
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanners (Rapid7 preferred)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret scan results
- Willingness to learn compliance and governance standards (IRAP, Essential 8)
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to ELK Stack or other SIEM tools
- Knowledge of cloud or network security fundamentals
- Previous internship or training in cybersecurity
