SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Java Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a global technology company specializing in self-service payment solutions and digital customer engagement for the retail petroleum industry. Headquartered in New Zealand, they offer a range of innovative products designed to enhance the customer experience at fuel stations and retail locations. The solution is designed to provide secure, fast, and reliable payment processing at fuel dispensers. These terminals support various payment methods, including EMV, NFC, and mobile payments. This software platform enables remote management and monitoring of payment devices. It includes features for security, diagnostics, and real-time updates, facilitating efficient operation and maintenance. The solutions allow for remote monitoring and management, reducing downtime and maintenance costs while ensuring devices are always up-to-date and secure. The client operates in multiple countries and serves a diverse range of clients, from small, independent fuel retailers to large multinational chains.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience with Java.
• Experience with Java, J2EE, EJB, Hibernate, Spring, Spring Boot, JQuery, JSP/Servlet, JPA, JavaScript, Maven/ANT, Struts, Oracle, REST.
• Knowledge of AWS, Angular, React JS, microservices architecture, MySQL, Postgres, AngularJS.
• Willingness to continuous learning and openness to diverse perspectives.
• The ability for teamwork and engagement.
• Clearity, correctness, and punctuality in communication.
• No overlap will be needed, as the team is currently mainly working on refactoring and new code.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and support new feature requirements and changes to existing functionality.
• Make recommendations for improving the SDLC.
• Lead effective software design and code reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
• Create technical software designs to translate functional requirements into technical plans within the product architecture.
• Follow the project life cycle methodology, such as Agile, defined within the process framework, to ensure that customer deadlines are met.
• Provide leadership in the use of current and new technologies in the products, and on the technical implementation of product features.
• Provide completeness, quality, and productivity of deliverables. It includes design, code, documentation, and defect resolution.
