SENIOR JAVA ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Java Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of new features and the enhancement of existing functionalities across core platform areas. You will work alongside a talented group of engineers to modernize infrastructure, improve performance, and deliver critical functionality to users.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Gradle.
• Proven experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous messaging.
• Understanding of relational databases and/or NoSQL solutions.
• Initiative individual with good communication skills.
• The ability to work in US time zones.

• Familiarity with GraphQL, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java.
• Build and support REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Work on features related to notifications, jobstand, and job search.
• Contribute to the modernization of the notification system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, system design, and architectural discussions.
• Write and maintain Docker images and manage deployments on AWS.
• Utilize Gradle (knowledge of similar tools like Maven is fine) for build and dependency management.
