Junior Embedded AI/ML Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for an Embedded AI/ML Engineer interested in designing the next generation of intelligent UWB devices. This is the ideal opportunity for AI/ML enthusiasts to bring their models to live in the embedded IoT/Mobile eco system.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML algorithms for resource constraint, low-cost microcontrollers
• Apply state-of-the-art compression and conversion techniques to optimize memory footprint and speed of AI/ML for embedded deployment
• Utilize in-house neural processing units for maximum efficiency
• Assist in all steps of the model development, from designing data campaigns, building models from scratch, testing on embedded systems, to releasing models for production
• Work in a cross-functional time to identify new applications of AI/ML to improve our future products
  
  

What We Expect

• Completed technical studies with a focus on AI/ML or related experience (Computer science, Physics, Math, or related)
• Solid knowledge of the principles of AI/ML such as classification, regression, and detection problems
• Experience using common AI/ML toolchains (e.g. Python with Tensorflow, Pytoch or similar)
• First experience in programming for embedded platforms (C/C++ or similar)
• Basic understanding of signal processing algorithms and feature extraction approaches
• Basic understanding of software development tools like CI/CD and test-driven development
  
  

Nice To Have

• Optimized models for embedded applications using quantization aware training, pruning, clustering, or other compression techniques
• Experience with deployment of AI/ML models on embedded systems, e.g. Tensorflow LiteRT and LiteRT for Microcontrollers
• Experience in designing AI/ML models from scratch, e.g. selecting layers/activations and overall structure of the model, writing custom loss functions
• Track record of embedded C related projects
