Senior Frontend Developer wanted for a sustainable e-commerce platform in Brussels

A fast-growing startup specialising in sustainable e-commerce and marketing is hiring a Senior Frontend Developer to take the lead in shaping the user experience of a complex, design-driven e-commerce platform. You’ll join a small development team and take ownership of the frontend, working closely with design and product to deliver high-quality, performant interfaces.

What’s on the roadmap

• Rebuilding the frontend using Next.js App Router
• Leading the implementation of advanced UI animations and interactions
• Optimising for speed, scalability and cross-device performance
• Integrating with a backend built on Nest.js, Mikro-ORM, and PostgreSQL

What do you bring

• 5+ years of experience with React, Next.js, SSR and TypeScript
• Strong command of Tailwind CSS and building pixel-perfect, accessible UI
• Experience deploying Next.js apps beyond Vercel (e.g. Node.js, Docker, Cloud)
• Ability to lead a small team and guide frontend decisions
• Interest in sustainable tech, e-commerce and design systems
• English only

• Flexible work environment: 1 day/week onsite in Brussels, the rest remote (work abroad also possible)
