Junior Network Engineer – Telecommunications & Public Utilities

Revive Recruitment is partnering with one of the most respected and stable employers in the Neubrandenburg region, a municipal provider of essential utilities and digital infrastructure, to hire a Junior Network Engineer.

What You’ll Do


You'll work as part of a collaborative in-house team responsible for building, operating and improving the region’s broadband and telecom infrastructure. After structured onboarding and training, you’ll support:


  • Planning and configuring telecom networks (not just troubleshooting!)


  • Designing standardised network systems and configurations


  • Overseeing infrastructure projects (planning, procurement, supervision)


  • Monitoring network components and setting up internal monitoring tools


  • Developing IT security and risk prevention protocols


  • Contributing to IPv6 migration, automation and optimisation


  • Coordinating with external service partners and vendors


  • Participating in light on-call rotation (about once every 4 weeks, remote only)


What You Bring 


You don’t need prior hands-on experience, but you should bring:


  • A strong interest in networks, infrastructure, or telecommunications


  • Understanding of network protocols, switching, or routing (from study or self-learning)


  • Some exposure to network config tools or scripting (Bash or PHP helpful)


  • Motivation to learn Cisco and/or Juniper technologies (certs a plus)


  • German language skills (C1) to work with internal teams


  • A reliable, team-oriented, and structured work style


Suitable Backgrounds Could Include:


  • Completed IT apprenticeship (e.g. Fachinformatiker Systemintegration)


  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Networking


  • Retraining / Umschulung in IT or Networking


  • Ongoing studies or recent graduates in technical fields


  • Certified Industriemeister/in IT or Telekommunikation
