Revive Recruitment is partnering with one of the most respected and stable employers in the Neubrandenburg region, a municipal provider of essential utilities and digital infrastructure, to hire a Junior Network Engineer.
Whether you're a recent graduate, career changer, or completing your first studies in networking or IT, this role gives you a long-term career path with structure, support, and impact.
You'll work as part of a collaborative in-house team responsible for building, operating and improving the region’s broadband and telecom infrastructure. After structured onboarding and training, you’ll support:
- Planning and configuring telecom networks (not just troubleshooting!)
- Designing standardised network systems and configurations
- Overseeing infrastructure projects (planning, procurement, supervision)
- Monitoring network components and setting up internal monitoring tools
- Developing IT security and risk prevention protocols
- Contributing to IPv6 migration, automation and optimisation
- Coordinating with external service partners and vendors
- Participating in light on-call rotation (about once every 4 weeks, remote only)
You don’t need prior hands-on experience, but you should bring:
- A strong interest in networks, infrastructure, or telecommunications
- Understanding of network protocols, switching, or routing (from study or self-learning)
- Some exposure to network config tools or scripting (Bash or PHP helpful)
- Motivation to learn Cisco and/or Juniper technologies (certs a plus)
- German language skills (C1) to work with internal teams
- A reliable, team-oriented, and structured work style
- Completed IT apprenticeship (e.g. Fachinformatiker Systemintegration)
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Networking
- Retraining / Umschulung in IT or Networking
- Ongoing studies or recent graduates in technical fields
- Certified Industriemeister/in IT or Telekommunikation
