Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Data / Business Analyst to support critical Data and AI initiatives . The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and project managers to gather requirements, analyze data, and ensure that business needs are translated into effective technical solutions. This role is key to the success of delivering data-driven use cases and supporting the development of the Data & AI Center of Excellence (CoE).

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with business and technical stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and data requirements.
• Analyze current data sources, structures, and reporting needs to support the design of target data models and solutions.
• Support the scoping and documentation of prioritized data use cases, including profiling current data and mapping it to business processes.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions with SMEs to understand data gaps, pain points, and business objectives.
• Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to ensure proper data integration, transformation, and validation.
• Define and manage business rules, data definitions, and metadata for effective governance.
• Support data quality assessments and recommend solutions for data cleansing and standardization.
• Assist in preparing documentation, user stories, and process flows to support implementation and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of data management, data governance, and business process analysis.
• Experience working on data-centric projects including data lakes, warehouses, analytics, or AI/ML initiatives.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) and business analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear technical and functional requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with insurance domain data (claims, policies, underwriting, etc.).
• Knowledge of tools such as Azure Data Platform, Power BI, Databricks, or similar.
• Familiarity with agile project delivery and working in cross-functional teams.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.
