We’re looking for a proactive, technically strong leader to take over project and team management for a production-grade web application built with Next.js and NestJS.

As the Team Lead / Project Manager, you’ll manage the delivery pipeline for a large-scale web application. You’ll guide a team of developers, manage the task board, lead discussions on implementation details, and ensure the project stays on track and meets high-quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role — ideal for someone with a full-stack engineering background and strong experience with Next.js and NestJS, who also enjoys mentoring and structuring the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize a team of developers working on a production Next.js + NestJS web application.
• Review code regularly, ensure best practices are followed, and provide constructive feedback to maintain quality.
• Take coding tasks where needed, our team is highly dynamic and we work in an extremely fast paced environment, you will need to be able to jump into the code base and complete tasks when necessary
• Manage task planning and assignment: break down requirements into actionable tasks, prioritize the backlog, and assign tickets.
• Run and facilitate team discussions, check-ins, and stand-ups to ensure progress and clear understanding of tasks.
• Coordinate project timelines, monitor progress, identify blockers, and keep delivery on track.
• Bridge the gap between product and development, making sure technical execution aligns with business goals.
• Continuously improve development workflows and internal documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Next.js and NestJS (or strong TypeScript/Node.js framework experience).
• Prior experience leading development teams or mentoring other engineers in a technical leadership capacity.
• Strong foundation in software architecture, code organization, and testing.
• Excellent communication skills — able to clearly explain decisions, trade-offs, and technical concepts to both developers and stakeholders.
• Experience with task/project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Comfortable balancing technical depth with people management and delivery oversight.

Bonus Points

• Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or deployment management.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies or running sprints in a startup or remote team environment.
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and backend scaling strategies.
