We have an urgent requirement for JAVA Solution Architect - with strong Insurance domain for our client based in Qatar

Lead the development and enhancement of the Insurance system using Java, Oracle, and Flutter---Must

Hands-on experience with Flutter for developing modern mobile and web-based solutions.—-Must

Strong accounting knowledge, particularly in Insurance Finance (premium, claims, reinsurance, etc.).---Must

Deep understanding of system architecture, integration, and design principles.---Must

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Lead the development and enhancement of the Insurance Finance system using Java, Oracle, and Flutter. Provide technical guidance, design, and implement complex functionalities.
  • Functional Knowledge: Work closely with business users and stakeholders in the finance department to understand the insurance finance processes and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Utilize strong knowledge of insurance finance and accounting processes, including premium accounting, claims accounting, reinsurance, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Solution Design & Implementation: Design and develop scalable, robust, and efficient solutions that align with business goals. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems or enhancements into the existing IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth data exchange between platforms like core insurance systems and finance applications.
  • Customization & Support: Customize the finance system to meet the unique needs of the organization and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the finance team.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Oversee the creation of test cases, conduct functional testing, and ensure the system is robust, secure, and meets quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with business users and technical teams to provide updates, clarify requirements, and ensure a clear understanding of system changes.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop detailed technical and functional documentation. Provide training to end users and assist in system adoption and change management.
  • Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong experience with Java and Oracle databases in large-scale environments.
    • Hands-on experience with Flutter for developing modern mobile and web-based solutions.
    • Deep understanding of system architecture, integration, and design principles.
  • Accounting/Finance Knowledge:
    • Strong accounting knowledge, particularly in Insurance Finance (premium, claims, reinsurance, etc.).
    • Ability to understand and interpret financial data and processes in the context of insurance companies.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Techno-Functional role with a focus on Insurance Finance.
    • Proven experience working on large, complex finance systems within the insurance domain.
    • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, coupled with technical development expertise.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Education: BE, MBA, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Insurance Finance, Java, or Oracle are a plus.
